Alamo Race Track - Black Cat John Brown

The second album of the Dutch Alamo Race Track is worth listening. Black Cat John Brown (the record) is fresh, rock and varies along the 12 songs. The first song tells you all, Black Cat John Brown (the track) starts like in a cowboy movie but get shape rapidly to end up with their personal style: Guitar, Bass guitar, drum, backing vocals and keyboard you play with one finger. My favourite is "The Killing", a song that stay at the borderline, that you want to jump on it but never comes. Go and buy it!

Je Suis France

Je Suis France sounds like what I played when I was young ! Power Pop Rock or something like that. Pavement is surely one of the main influence there. Check out California rules to be convinced ! It's retrieved from Fantastic area, their second album released on Orange twin records. Their new record will be in the air around April 07 on Antenna Farm Records.

Dead Meadow

Dead Meadow is working on a new album on Matador, the picture represents the studio sunset sounds because i cant' promote their artwork (check their website and let me know!). They have already announced some tour dates. Their music is not exactly what we could describe as light pop but heavy and loud guitars on a slow tempo. I love that. Listen to At her Open door and wait till the transition around 4:02 min, great stuff !

Julie Doiron

From Canada, Julie Doiron is back with "Woke Myself Up" on Jagjaguwar. "No More" is an entertainment fresh pop, the 30 first seconds give you the tone of the song and you'll keep repeating ... no more, no more, no more. A delight !
